Mobile internet, class work in GDC, HSS remain suspended in Handwara, strike in Langate

Baramulla, Sep 12 (UNI) The mobile internet service and class work in Government Degree College (GDC) and Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) remained suspended for the second day on Wednesday as a precautionary measure in Handwara in Kupwara, where two militants were killed by security forces in an encounter early on Tuesday morning.
Business and other activities were affected due to strike at Langate as one of the militant killed in the encounter belongs to that area.
The district administration had directed all cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to suspend mobile internet service as a precautionary measure yesterday to prevent spread of any rumours following the killing of two militants.
