MNS women’s wing activists demand action on Thane civic hospital's doctors for alleged negligence

Thane, May 22 (UNI) The women’s wing of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Wednesday demanded action for carelessness by the doctors of civic-run Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital at Kalwa, who allegedly forgot to remove a bandage placed inside the birth canal of a young woman who had delivered a child on May 6 in the same hospital.
Nisha Suraj Rajbhar (20), a housewife from Thane’s Lokmanaya Nagar who was pregnant, was admitted to the hospital on May 5 after she experienced severe labour pain and the next day, she delivered the child.
During the procedure, the doctor on-duty placed a bandage at the birth canal to stop the bleeding while another sutured the same along with the bandage still inside.
