Nashik, Nov 26 (UNI) The activists of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Thursday staged an agitation here by forming a human chain from the party's office to the collector's office, demanding to cancel inflated electricity bills during the period of lockdown.
The activists, led by former Nashik mayor Ashok Murtadak, carried placards in their hands against exorbitant hike in power bills and shouted slogans against the Shiv Sena-led MVA government.
The MNS activists staged agitation to attract the government's attention to the woes of people, as the source of income of many was curtailed while some others lost their jobs, due to the lockdown enforced following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
