Misuse of IT root cause of increasing crime against women: HP CM

Tapovan, Dharamshala, Dec 13 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur made the heads turn in the state Assembly on Friday, when he said the misuse of Information Technology was the root cause of increasing crime against women in the state.
Replying to a discussion brought under Rule 130 by Congress Legislative Party Leader Mukesh Agnihotri in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said that rising number of cases of crime against women in the state was a cause of concern.
Technology is posing new challenges among the new generation. Even this land of Gods and Goddesses has not remained untouched by such heinous crimes, as cases reported in the villages had shown a drastic rise in the last few years.
