Miscreants damage statue of Sidho-Kanhu in Pakur

Pakur, Aug 14 (UNI) Hundreds of tribals stopped the traffic movement
on the Pakur-Dumka main road protesting against the damage done to the
statue of great martyrs Sidho-Kanhu located in a park here.

The agitators demanded that strict action should be taken against
the anti social elements who are behind this act, termination of
contract of the present park contractor, immediate repair of the
statue etc.

Upon receiving information SDPO Ashok Kumar Singh alongwith CO Alok
Varan Kesari with police men reached at the spot and pacified the
agitators. They assured that the damaged statue will be repaired on a
priority basis after which the agitation was called off.
