Miscreants burnt veggies worth lakhs in bordering subdivision: Communal tension sparked

Ambassa (Tripura), Dec 14 (UNI) In a shocking incident unknown miscreants burnt
veggies worth lakhs of rupees in the filed on the eve of harvesting in the bordering
subdivision of Gandacharra in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The stretch of approximately 4 hecter of land belonging to 25 families were burnt
completely last night by some miscreants.
The matter came into the notice of the inhabitants this morning. Accordingly, alarmed
inhabitants informed police and officials.
Primarily the loss accounted approximately 20 lakhs of rupees. It created communal
tension among tribals and non-tribals.
However, the administration succeeded to combat the situation till now.
