'Will be in Houston to be with my friend. Will be a great day in Texas!,' Mr Trump tweeted even as a grand cultural programme by Indian artistes unfolded at the sprawling NRG stadium.
Hundreds of attendees were seen painting their faces in the tricolor and the stars and stripes.
Maharashtra's Pride Nashik Dhol and Gujarat 's popular singer Falguni Pathak with her team will also perform at the event. Diverse performers have been rehearsing for the cultural programme.
The audience joined in and seemed to be enjoying thoroughly.
