Minor rape victim's parents booked for turning hostile

Bhind, MP, Jan 7 (UNI) Today a local court issued orders for registering criminal cases against the parents of a five-year-old rape victim for turning hostile and changing their statement leading to the acquittal of the accused.
Assistant District Prosecution Officer Satish Katare said Nawal Singh Dhimar (35) was booked for raping the minor on May 28, 2015, on the basis of the complaint of her parents. He was later arrested.
Later, the parents retracted from their statement. Additional Sessions Judge MS Tomar acquitted the accused yesterday. Meanwhile, on the request of District Prosecution Officer Praveen Dixit, a case has been registered against the victim’s parents.
