Minister inaugurated state level tribal sports meet

Ambassa (Tripura), Dec 16 (UNI) Tripura Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) Manoj Kanti Deb today inaugurated the State level Tribal Sports Meet in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The state meet of tribal sports has been arranged by the Kalyan Ashram Tripura on the College ground of Kamalpur. In the morning, minister Manoj Kanti Deb has unfurled the flag to kick off the meet.
The chief guest of the secretary of Kamalpur Press Club Supriyo Datta has remarked, "The tribal community in the state has a rich culture and heritage. But in the guise of service some religious sects are always trying to misguide them into the dreary land of detachment from identity. The efforts like this from Kalyan Ashram has been a bold step to preserve and promote this identity. And people from all sects should appreciate this effort".
