Minister George launches DiGi-7 unique Digital Address System in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Mar 15 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Bengaluru Development
K J George today launched DiGi7--a unique seven digit Digital Address
System for properties in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits
that enable property owners use the App for identifying property.
He said this system would enable property owners, after making one time
registration to the App, could use the app for identifying a property, navigation
to that property and other allied services. DiGi7 replaces the conventional
address for a property. It would also help BBMP to help citizens while
receiving requests ranging from building plans, utility service or grievance
reporting.
BBMP Commissioner Mr N Manjunath Prasad, who was present, informed
media representatives that the BBMP has identified 19 lakh properties to be
included in the new digital system. Bangalore Development Authority
Properties would be covered in the second phase.
The Minister, replying to questions, said the Karnataka government had
received over 14,000 objections with regard to Master Plan 2031 for
Bengaluru City.
The Minister and Mayor R Sampath Raj released a brochure in this regard.
