Minister dismisses allegations on Amaravati bonds, says interest fixed as per rating of Amaravati

Amaravati, Sep 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said that the Amaravati bonds 2018 has received overwhelming response and dismissed allegations that the bonds were floated with high interest rate.
Replying to a short notice question in the Assembly on Monday, the Minister said the Amaravati bonds over subscribed within one hour and fetched Rs.2000 crore to the state government.
He said that the bonds were issued for Rs.1300 crore and decided to retain Rs.700 crore additional subscription by exercising the green shoe option with an interest rate of 10.32 per cent.
