Panaji, Jul 15 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed state assembly on Monday that mining of iron ore dumps would start in the state within six months, while e-auction of already extracted iron ore lying used in mining areas and jetties would begin in 20 days.
The Chief Minister said he would be attending a meeting of a group of ministers appointed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah this week to find out modalities for resumption of mining in the state which had been stalled for more than last one year.
'The central government has taken this issue seriously. Home Minister Amit Shah has already formed a group of Ministers comprising of Union Ministers for Finance, Environment, Mining, Commerce, Law, among others to resolve the issue," Sawant said, he said, replying to a zero hour mention raised by BJP MLA Praveen Zantye.
