Min KTR complains in letter to Centre on Hyderabad Metro phase-II project

Hyderabad, Mar 28 (UNI) Telanagna Minister of Information Technology and Industries, KT Rama Rao, sent a letter to Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri, expressing his strong disagreement with the BJP-led central government's decision to reject the proposal for Hyderabad Metro phase-II.
Reacting to media reports that the Centre declined to approve the extension of Metro from Lakdikapul to BHEL and Nagole to LB Nagar on the grounds of feasibility, Minister KTR said it was strange that Government of India which had sanctioned Metro projects to many cities with less traffic had felt that Hyderabad does not qualify for a Metro Rail project.
