Militants wanted to target army recruitment

Srinagar, Sep 30 (UNI) Two militants shot dead in Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir were planning to target the Army’s ongoing recruitment rally, a police officer said on Friday.
The militants were killed in a gun battle at Yedipora Pattan. The encounter site is close to the venue where the Army recruitment rally is on.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rayees Mohammad Bhat said the gunfight broke out when the security forces cordoned off the area.
