MHA extends preventive guidelines for COVID-19 amid ongoing festive season

New Delhi, Oct 28 (UNI) The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday in an order stated that the ongoing Covid-19 guidelines will prevail till November 30. The decision was taken in light of the pandemic and the approaching festive season. The order released extends the validity of the order dated September 28, 2021.
The preventive guidelines for COVID-19 which is already enforced, have been extended further till November 30, the Union Home Ministry said on Thursday.
"In exercise of powers, conferred under Section 10 (2)(1) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, undersigned hereby directs that the Order of the Ministry of Home Affairs of even number, dated September 28, 2021, to ensure compliance with the Prompt & Effective containment measures for COVID-19, as conveyed vide Ministry of Health and Family Welfare dated September 21, 2021, will remain in force up to November 30, 2021,” the order by the MHA read.
