New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) In view of Judgment in Asharam Bapu’s case, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday issued an advisory to the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana asking them maintain law and order.
The advisory asked the concerned state administration to strictly maintain law and order in the state and prevention of any untoward incidents in the state.
“The top MHA officials have spoken to the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of these three states in this regard”, a Home Ministry source said.
The three states Government have been asked to deploy para-military force if needed. There are some intelligence input that suggest that the followers of Asharam may assemble in Jodhpur ahead of Jodhpur court verdict on rape case against controversial god man Asharam Bapu.
Asharam Bapu was arrested in 2013 after a minor girl from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh had reported sexual assault by him in his ashram on the outskirts of Jodhpur.
Thereafter, he was then brought from Indore and jailed in the Jodhpur Central jail since 2013.
