New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) MG Motor India has embarked upon a quest to collaborate with technology startups in the country as the British automotive marque “MG”, which recently inaugurated its first manufacturing facility at Halol in Gujarat, aims to bring additional synergies to its automotive business in the coming years, especially in the areas of telematics and manufacturing.
“India is home to a number of entrepreneurs and innovative minds, who choose to go the start-up route, including the mobility space. As part of MG’s commitment to build a culture of constant innovation, we are open to exploring various opportunities for collaborating with any technology startup that brings additional synergies to our business,” said Rajeev Chaba, President & Managing Director, MG Motor India.
To this effect, MG Motor India has joined hands with TiE Delhi, a nonprofit association that mentors’ startup founders, to launch the ‘MG Drives Innovation’ programme.
Founded in the UK in 1924, MG (Morris Garages) was world famous for its sports cars/cabriolet series, sought after by many celebrities including British Prime Ministers and even the British royal family. Set up in 1930 in Abingdon, UK, the MG Car Club has more than a million loyal fans, making it by far one of the world's largest clubs for a single brand. MG, the iconic British Racing Sports Brand has evolved into a modern-day innovative brand through the last 93 years.
