Met warns tourists and fishermen from venturing into water bodies in the coastal districts of Bengal, Odisha and AP

Kolkata/Siliguri, Sep 20 (UNI) Tourists and fishermen at the coastal districts of Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh have been warned against going into water bodies, following a latest IMD observation and satellite imageries indicating a depression over East-Central Bay of Bengal.
The depression which has possibility of developing into a deep depression remained centred at 2030 hrs (IST) on September 19.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. Tourists visiting Digha and adjacent coasts have been advised not to indulge in any sea water bound activities during the next 48 hours. Rain and thundershowers may also strike the Himalayan and sub-Himalayan areas and five districts of north Bengal, the Met department has said.
