MESC launches 14 AWSITC to prepare candidates on global standards

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey and Chairman of Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) and renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai on Tuesday launched 14 Authorised World Skills India Training Centres (AWSITC).
These training centres will prepare the candidates as per the global standards and make them ready for the elite class skill competitions, including nationally and internationally.
The training programme and courses at AWSITC are accredited under National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and are recognized by industry and employers. AWSITC will offer skilled courses in the certification programs like Graphic Design Technology, 3D Digital Game Art and Print Media Technology.
The duration of each course will be nine months to 36 months. The industry oriented training programs will be offered across the network of its affiliated training centres at different locations like Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Mumbai, Pune, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram.
During the launch of AWSITC, Dr Pandey said, ''Our country is progressing in terms of skilling, due to which number of authorised World Skill Training Centres are been opened at global level. These centres will definitely train the candidates for the upcoming World Skills Competition 2021 at China."
Mr Ghai said, ''I appreciate the initiative by MESC to start with Authorised WorldSkills India Training Centers (AWSITC) offering skills oriented training programs which MESC shall be representing the Country during World Skills Competition or any other competition on National or International stage.''
Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC said,''There was the huge need of establishing these world skill training centres to train the candidates at national and international level. In the coming time these centres will prepare these candidates as per the world skills guidelines."
MESC also felicitated the winners and experts of World Skills Kazan 2019 during the ceremony who have given their best performances at the international platform and made our country proud with their skills.
