Mercury stays 6 -7 degrees above normal in HP

Shimla, Feb 2 (UNI) Alarmingly Mercury stayed six to seven degrees above normal in Himachal Pradesh in the day on Thursday as it was mainly dry in the state.
Keylong, Headquarter of Lahaul-Spiti district recorded 0.9 degrees which was nearly seven degree above normal. Similarly Day temperature went upto 17.2 degrees in Shimla & six degrees above normal. Maximum temperature of Kalpa 3.2, Dharamshala 23 Una 24.4, Nahan (Sirmaur) 21, Solan 24, Manali 13.8, Kangra 23, Mandi 21,Bilaspur 25, Hamirpur 22, Chamba 20, Dalhousie 15, Kufri 11, Narakanda 7 & Kasauli 19.3 respectively. According to Agriculture experts rise of maximum temperature above 15 degrees would disturb the dormancy in high chilling fruit trees and breaking of dormancy msy impact the quality and fruit production in the upcoming season.

Chandigarh, Mar 18 (UNI) Questioning the absence of Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha from the Punjab poll scene, state BJP president Sunil Jakhar on Monday said the development raises "genuine doubts" about rumblings within the party.
"Raghav ji has been the apple of (AAP Natioal Convenor Arvind) Kejriwal's eye, so much so that he has been acting as the Super CM in Punjab demeaning elected CM Bhagwant Mann; and now his removal from thescene with parliamentary polls already announced raises genuine doubts about rumblings within AAP," Jakhar said.

Dharamshala, Mar 18 (UNI) Three persons all residents of Majherna Baijnath were arrested on Monday under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS) Act after police recovered heroin from their possession at Deogran under Panchrukhi police station in Himachal Pradesh.
Kangra district Senior Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri told UNI on Monday that Police recovered 25.38 grams of heroin from a car .
