Merchant Shipping Bill, 2016 introduced in LS

New Delhi, Dec16 (UNI) Government today introduced Merchant Shipping Bill, 2016 replacing the 2015 version in the Lok Sabha.
The Bill was introduced by Minister of State for Shipping P Radhakrishnan in the House. Merchant Shipping (Amendment) Bill, 2015 was withdrawn by the Government. Merchant Shipping Bill, 2016 has been brought to replace old and redundant provisions of the laws with contemporaneous provisions.
