Meghalaya to generate 30 per cent revenue from all departments

Shillong, Nov 27 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday said that all revenue generating departments have been asked to increase the revenue upto 30 per cent.
Sangma was replying to call attention moved by opposition Congress MLA, H.M. Shangpliang on the financial crunch but the government did not take any steps to curtail spending.
The Congress legislator said that though the finance department had issued adopt austerity measures, but ministers were furnishing their bungalows and purchasing new vehicles.
