Meghalaya registers 211 new COVID cases

Shillong, Jan 16 (UNI) Meghalaya registered 211 new COVID-19 cases, the highest single-day spike so far, on Sunday, surging the number of active cases to 1128, the health officials said.
As 74 more cases of recovery from the viral infection surged the number of recovered cases to 83,740.
The state has so far registered 86,358 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1490 cases of fatality.
