Meghalaya records 37 recoveries, 30 new COVID-19 cases

Shillong, Nov 28 (UNI) Meghalaya recorded 37 more cases of recovery from Covid-19 related complications, which surged the number of recovered cases to 82,672 and 30 new cases of infection, which added up to 301 active cases on Sunday, with the state having so far registered 84,444confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 1471 cases of fatality, health officials said.
Director Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War said the new COVID-19 cases detected on Sunday included 26 in East Khasi Hills district , two in West Garo Hills district and one each in East Garo Hills district and West Jaintia Hills district.
With 247 active COVID-19 cases and 998 cases of fatality due to the viral disease, the East Khasi Hills, which includes state capital Shillong, is the most pandemic-hit district.
