Meghalaya Police register criminal case against United Bangal Liberation Army

Shillong, Oct 24 (UNI) A criminal case has been registered against a lesser-known militant group, the United Bangal Liberation Army (UBLA), which is suspected to be fake, over a criminal conspiracy against the people of Meghalaya and criminal intimidation against Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
Meghalaya Police Spokesperson Gabriel Iangrai informed that a criminal case under relevant provisions of law has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station here and the investigation is on.
"A criminal case under relevant provisions of law has been registered against United Bangal Liberation Army for criminal conspiracy, for the threat to wage conflict against the local populace of Meghalaya and for the criminal intimidation against the Chief Minister of Meghalaya," Iangrai said.
