Meghalaya Lokayukta directs govt. employees to declare assets, liabilities

Shillong, Nov 13 (UNI) Meghalaya Lokayukta has issued an order directing Chief Secretary P.S.Thangkhiew to ensure all state government employees to declare their assets and liabilities, an official said on Wednesday
The government employees should also declare assets and liabilities held by spouses and children, it stated.
A Lokayukta official said the order was issued following a complaint of corruption filed against government employees by one S K Lyngdoh, who also sought details of their possessions.
