Meghalaya HC asks State government not to regulate entry of Indian citizens

Shillong, Dec 2 (UNI) A division bench of Meghalaya High Court on Thursday have observed that
the State government order regulating the entry of Indian citizens may not be exercised.
"It is made clear that the apparent omnibus charter conferred by the impugned statute without indicating any parameters for restricting or regulating the entry or movement of Indian citizens

Shillong, Jan 17 (UNI) COVID-19 cases are on a steady rise in Meghalaya, especially in state capital Shillong, with 174 new cases sharply increasing the number of active cases to 1207 on Monday, even as 95 more cases of recovery from the viral infection surged the number of recovered cases to 83835, health officials said.
