Meghalaya Governor urges citizens to vote in February 27 assembly polls

Shillong, Jan 26 (UNI) Meghalaya Governor Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd) on Thursday urged citizens, especially young voters of the poll-bound state, to exercise their franchise freely and fairly in the upcoming assembly elections on February 27.
“I urge my people, particularly the young eligible voters, to exercise their right of franchise freely &fairly and to maintain the best traditions of peace and harmony during the elections,” Mishap said after unfurling the Indian flag and taking the salute at a ceremonial Republic Day parade here.
Mishra said the State Election Department had taken all steps to improve enrollment of voters, under the tagline "No voters should be left behind" under the Systematic Voter Education and Enrolment Programme. UNI RRK SSP
