Meghalaya government insensitive on boundary dispute with Assam

Shillong, Oct 30 (UNI) Meghalaya’s opposition leader Mukul Sangma on Tuesday accused the Conrad Sangma-led coalition government of demonstrating its “insensitivity” towards the residents of the state along the inter-state boundary with Assam.
“The present government was not sensitive and there have been narratives about problems being faced by residents of the state along the inter-state boundary including in West Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi districts,” he told reporters.
The veteran Congress leader hit out at the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Home Minister James Sangma for not taking the problems faced by the residents with their respective counterparts in Assam.
