Meghalaya: Congress prospects mar by intra-party rivalry; no centralised campaign system

Shillong, Feb 10 (UNI) In the run up to the Meghalaya assembly polls, the internal squabbles within the state Congress leadership amid anti incumbency of seven years of uninterrupted stint power could dampen the prospects of the party in the coming election.
The deserted look of the Congress Bhavan in capital town Shillong in Meghalaya is testimony to the fact that all is not well in the party.
With barely twenty days to go for the all important polls, the headqaurter of the party in Shillong is a quiet place with hardly any worker or party functioneries present in the office.
