Meghalaya committed to find solution to border dispute with Assam

Shillong, Jan 21 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today said that the inter-state border dispute Assam has been an issue since the inception of the state and consecutive governments have faced different challenges when it came to this issue.
However, he said that his government is committed to move forward and find a solution that is acceptable to all.
“This (problem) continues till now. There are lots of challenges that the people do face and we are aware of those challenges. From the government side, discussions are always on and whenever there are issues that come up in the border area. Chief Secretaries of the two states were always in touch with each other,” he told reporters.
