Meghalaya CM accuses Congress of interference in investigation of prostitution racket

Shillong, Nov 28 (UNI) Taking a broadside at Opposition Congress and its leader Mukul Sangma, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday accused his preceding government for having interfered with the
investigation into a prostitution racket in 2016-17 at a guest house owned by former Home Minister H.D.R. Lyngdoh by transferring investigating officers within a month.
The Chief Minister’s statement came a day after the Leader of Opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma claimed that the National People’s Party (NPP)-led government has tried to scuttle an investigation into a firm SS Netcom owned by the Chief Minister and his family.
