Shillong, Oct 10 (UNI) The Meghalaya cabinet on Wednesday discussed at length about the preparations of the state for hosting the National Games in 2022.
The sports department also briefed the cabinet about getting a fund of Rs 300 Crore from the Union ministry of social justice and empowerment for constructing stadia.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that a land about 50 acres would be utilized for constructing stadia for the National Games at the New Shillong township while another land about 70 acres would be also utilized for building the games village.
