Meghalaya: BGB soldiers take refuge in India after mob storms their border outpost

Dawki (Indo-Bangladesh border), Aug 11 (UNI) With an unruly mob raiding and looting government establishments in Bangladesh on August five, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) soldiers had to take refuge in India to save their lives.
The soldiers posted at the BGB Border Outpost Tamabil in Sylhet district ran for their life towards Border Security Force (BSF) Outpost at Dawki in Meghalaya, after Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled to India on August five amid widespread chaos in the country, which saw reports of looting, arson, and violence.
BSF officials said the BGB soldiers, numbering four to five, sought refuge with the BSF at its immigration checkpoint until the mob dispersed.
