Meghalaya-based KJCLF appeals for restoration of peace in Manipur

Shillong, June 9 (UNI) The Khasi Jaintia Christian Leaders Forum (KJCLF) in Meghalaya on Friday said it is deeply dismayed and saddened that violence is still continuing unabated in Manipur.
“The heinous violence which has claimed a number of lives, caused destruction to innumerable churches, properties and human settlements need to stop,” Secretary KJCLF, Rev. Dr Edwin H Kharkongor said.
The Forum appealed to the citizens of Manipur to cease the fighting and return to calm.
