Meghalaya: 7 Bangladeshi nationals, 2 Indian touts arrested

Shillong, Aug 11 (UNI) Seven Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian touts have been arrested in Meghalaya for illegally entering India, BSF officials said on Sunday.
“In a well-planned operation, BSF troops in collaboration with the Meghalaya Police, apprehended seven Bangladeshi nationals along with two Indian facilitators in depth area at a checkpoint on Saturday,” a BSF statement said.
In view of ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, BSF Meghalaya Frontier has assessed and heightened security along the India-Bangladesh border adopting a multi-tier domination strategy.
