Mega legal service camp held in remote tribal area

Ambassa(Tripura), Dec 08(Tripura) A mega legal service camp was held by the Sub Divisional legal service authority at the remote tribal dominated Dhanchandra Choudhury para in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in Dhalai district here today.
The camp was inaugurated by the Additional District and Sessions Judge Hrishikesh Chakraborty.
Judicial Magistrate 1st class Bikash Debbarma, Sub Divisional Magistrate Sushanta Sarkar, Sub Divisional Police Officer Sabyasachi Debnath, Sub Treasury Officer Chandrajoy Riang, Additional Public Prosecutor Indubhusan Deb were present in the inaugural session.
In his inaugural speech the Additional District and Sessions Judge Hrishikesh Chakraborty said, "Still today a great many people do not approach the judiciary for lack of awareness and financial constraints. As a result they are deprived of justice.
"Now, the legal service authority is there to help them in every possible way, including advocates to plead their case among other forms of legal assistance free of cost, and people are availing the same now.
"Still a larger section is unaware of these facilities, and the para legal volunteers are working relentlessly to reach every corner with those facilities.
"Our today's mega camp is a part of such efforts."
Various departments of sub divisional administration, including agriculture and health, were present in the camp to provide people with different validating certificates.
Thousands of people across the sub division reached the camp to avail the facilities.
