Media doyen Seshadri passes away

Bengaluru, Aug 12 (UNI) A popular figure in the Bengaluru media
circle, S K Seshari (87) passed away here yesterday.
A multifacted personality Mr Seshadri began his career with
Free Press Journal and a publicity consultant/film columnist in
Mumbai.
He started his career in Bangalore with Indian Express to which
he subsequently became a Film Critic/columnist. He was with Amrita
Bazar Patrika, erstwhile leading English daily from Kolkata for over
35 years.
He was one of the founding member of Samyukta Karnataka as also
the Bangalore Press Club.
He was the publisher of 'Menaka' and 'Naguvananda' magazines.
He was associated with two popular Kannada feature films
'Premayana' and 'Haavu Yeni Aata'. Besides being Associated
Producer, he also wrote the story and script/screenplay for the film
Premayana.
He was one of the first producers of Doordarshan, Bangalore.
He has produced over 100 episodes of popular serials. Some of his
serials are 'Namma Nammalli', 'Americadalli Gorur' 'Sansmaran' and
'Kandana Kavya'.
He is survived by wife, two sons, daughters-in-law and three
grand children.
