Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 30 2016 8:15PM Mechukha ALG opened for IAF and civilian benefitsItanagar, May 30 (UNI) Giving a major boost to the nation’s rapid airlift capability for forward operations and troop deployment, the Indian Air Force (IAF) re-activated the most strategic Advanced Landing Grounds (ALG) of Mechukha in West Siang of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday last. The ALG was remained non-functional since 2013 following its reconstruction work along with Aalo, Ziro, Tuting, Pasighat, Tezu ALGs, official sources informed here today. Situated along Indo-Sino border, Mechukha was one of the strategic locations during the India-China war in 1962.
