MDF to take out Parliament march on Dec 5

Kozhikode, Oct 21 (UNI) The Malabar Development Forum (MDF) will take out a Parliament march on December 5 to press its demands, including status quo at Calicut International Airport near here.
The MDF in a statement here today said the Civil Aviation Ministry had taken an adamant attitude by denying operation of wide bodied aircraft from the airport after completion of re-carpeting of runway.
Flaying the authorities for imposing separate safety norms, it said smaller airports with 150 m runway strip like Lucknow, Jaipur, Goa, Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram were allowed to operate big aircrafts, the Calicut airport was directed to enhance its from 150 m to 300 for the purpose, it said.
