MCD bypolls results, a huge achievement for us, won at traditionally weak seats: Maken

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Dubbing its victory from five seats out of the 13 wards of the MCDs as a clear message that people had rejected the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi and still cherished the governance of previous Sheila Dikshit regime, the Congress today said people of the Capital city have dumped both the AAP and BJP due to their 'hollow promises'.
Addressing a press conference here, after the Congress made a spectacular comeback in Delhi and emerged a surprise gainer in the MCD bypolls, Delhi Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Maken said the victory of the Congress was a clear message to the people of Punjab on whether they should vote for the AAP.
After scoring a landslide victory in the Delhi assembly polls last year, the AAP is hoping to create an impact in the assembly polls in Punjab, scheduled next year.
