Woxsen School of Business, a B-school based in Hyderabad, recently revealed the figures of its placement season 2019. According to the placement report 2019, 96.6% of the total MBA students, from both PGDM and PGPXP course, bagged successful campus placements.

With respect to industries, Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and IT/ITeS sector dominated the placement share with 18.5%, 15.05%, and 12.95% respectively. However, Travel, Oil, and Media companies hired a combined 5.55% MBA professionals, making up the industries with least recruitment.

The numbers can perhaps be attributed to the quality education, expert guidance, and unconventional MBA initiatives undertaken by the B-school that corroborate the alignment of student knowledge with current industry requirements.

Though the recruiter bifurcation was not shared by the B-school, the mixture featured a balanced ratio of top-notch companies and growing start-ups. While former includes the likes of KPMG, EY, Yes Bank, TATA, Airtel, DHL, Amazon, etc, latter features BYJU’s, Way2Online, Raasta Studios, OpenFace, MINDMAP, and many more.
