MBA placements: Woxsen School of Business students shine in 2019 recruitment season

Woxsen School of Business, a B-school based in Hyderabad, recently revealed the figures of its placement season 2019. According to the placement report 2019, 96.6% of the total MBA students, from both PGDM and PGPXP course, bagged successful campus placements.

With respect to industries, Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and IT/ITeS sector dominated the placement share with 18.5%, 15.05%, and 12.95% respectively. However, Travel, Oil, and Media companies hired a combined 5.55% MBA professionals, making up the industries with least recruitment.

The numbers can perhaps be attributed to the quality education, expert guidance, and unconventional MBA initiatives undertaken by the B-school that corroborate the alignment of student knowledge with current industry requirements.

Though the recruiter bifurcation was not shared by the B-school, the mixture featured a balanced ratio of top-notch companies and growing start-ups. While former includes the likes of KPMG, EY, Yes Bank, TATA, Airtel, DHL, Amazon, etc, latter features BYJU’s, Way2Online, Raasta Studios, OpenFace, MINDMAP, and many more.

With increasing number of startups and operational expansion of legacy organizations, different companies from various industries exposed the students to a plethora of market opportunities. Such an approach towards placements is extremely beneficial for management students in B-schools across the country.
