Mayawati convenes BSP national executive meet ahead of 2027 UP Polls

Lucknow, Feb 19 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati has convened a crucial meeting of the party’s national executive on Sunday to strategize for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The meeting comes just a day after she reiterated the BSP’s decision to contest the polls independently, ruling out any alliance for the high-stakes electoral battle.
The national executive session will see participation from zonal in-charges, state unit presidents, assembly-level coordinators, and other key organizational office-bearers. According to party sources, the primary focus of the meeting will be on strengthening the BSP’s grassroots structure, expanding its mass outreach, and reviewing preparedness across constituencies ahead of the 403-seat contest expected in early 2027.
During internal discussions, leaders are expected to assess booth-level organization, cadre mobilization, and strategies to reconnect with core support groups, particularly Dalits and other marginalized communities. The leadership is also likely to outline plans for intensified public outreach campaigns across districts in the coming months.
