Matter of shame says Hemant, after photo of girl eating rice with boiled cabbage leaf goes viral

Dumka/Ranchi, Feb 26 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed anger after photographs of a minor tribal girl, eating rice with boiled cabbage leaves, went viral.
"It is a matter of shame for us and the entire Dumka administration," he tweeted. He said his government was not like the previous one in which cancellation of 11 lakh ration cards was claimed as an achievement.
He had directed the district administration to provide all necessary government help to the girl and her family and apart from that all other such families should be identified and help should be provided to them. Following the chief minister's direction, the district administration swung into action and the block supplies office provided the ration card alongwith food grains to the family.
