Matiullah Jan kidnapping case: police yet to gather evidence

Islamabad, Aug 6 (UNI) Pakistan's Supreme Court would resume hearing a contempt of court case against senior journalist Matiullah Jan on Thursday, while the city police has conceded that they are still in the process of collecting evidence in the case regarding the kidnapping of the senior journalist.
The Islamabad police has said that they are waiting for replies from various departments, as part of their efforts for gathering evidence in the kidnapping case.
Dawn quoted an official statement released by Inspector General of Islamabad Amir Zulfikar Khan saying “But efforts are under way to trace the culprits involved in the incident and in this regard the reports of various departments is awaited to carry out further investigations,”.
