Massive fire damage shopping complex in Anantnag

Anantnag, Nov 26 (UNI) A shopping complex suffered a major damage in a massive fire this south Kashmir district, official sources said.

They said a fire broke out in a shopping complex at Ganjiwara on Sunday night. Fire fighting engines were rushed to the area from different parts of the town to control the leaping flames, visible from a distance.

Besides fire-brigade personnel, police and locals brought the fire under control, they said adding that the exact loss in the fire was being ascertained.
Sources said the cause of fire was not known. Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings.

Police said there was no report of any loss of life or injury in the incident.
