Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza becomes India’s fastest selling compact SUV to clock 6 lac sales; achieves feat within 5 years of launch

Gurugram, Mar 04 (UNI) India’s best-selling compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, sets yet another remarkable milestone, clocks 6 Lakh sales within a short time span of 5 years. Since its launch in 2016, Vitara Brezza has been the undisputed market leader in the compact SUV segment with its enhanced sportiness, bolder SUV looks, stronger stance, premium interiors and host of features. Its dominance over the segment is evident from the fact that it has not only emerged as the fastest selling compact SUV in the country, but also the most awarded compact SUV.

Speaking on the success, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Launched in 2016, Vitara Brezza has consistently received appreciation from its customers and critics owing to its all-in-one package of power, refinement, convenience, comfort and premium-ness. Vitara Brezza is valued for its strong SUV stance and sporty character which gives the urban SUV a butch and bold look, making it extremely popular amongst the SUV customers. We have also introduced the 1.5L 4 cylinder petrol engine in the all-new Vitara Brezza early last year, making it the most refined SUV in its segment. It is a delight to announce that India’s best-selling compact SUV has further strengthened its position as the market leader with the sales of 6 Lakh units. This is a testimony of our customers’ elevated support and love for the brand, especially in a segment which is traditionally diesel driven.”

Equipped with the powerful 1.5L 4 cylinder petrol engine, Vitara Brezza has earned a formidable advantage in the segment which is primarily crowded with smaller petrol engines. Spearheading the revolution of introducing stronger petrol engines in the compact SUV segment, the engine offers superior NVH characteristics, best-in-class refinement, and an improved cooling performance, making it a favourite amongst the customers. With the bigger and better 1.5 Litre K-series BS6 petrol engine which delivers an outstanding fuel efficiency of 18.76 km/l for automatic and 17.03km/l for the manual, Vitara Brezza has disrupted its segment with this unique offering.

In line with its strong, urban and premium appeal, Vitara Brezza’s dual-tone roof, striking new LED headlamp and DRLs coupled with sporty interior, impart a sturdy yet modern road presence. Redefining in-car entertainment the all-new Vitara Brezza’s advanced features such as voice recognition, vehicle alerts and access to curated online content through AHA radio, make for an enjoyable and effortless journey. With its intuitiveness and responsiveness, SmartPlay studio with 17.78 cm touchscreen infotainment system is a preferred choice of the tech-savvy generation. Additionally, it offers a host of convenience and safety features including auto-retracting outside rear view mirror (ORVM), auto-dimming and antiglare inside rear view mirror (IRVM) and gear shift indicator.
