Hyderabad, June 6 (UNI) Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker on Tuesday announced that its service network reached 4,500 touch-points across the country with the inauguration of NEXA service at Rampally in Hyderabad of Telangana on Tuesday.
Speaking on occasion, Maruti Suzuki Senior Executive officer (Service) Partho Banerjee claimed that its company only provided service to the customers without enhancing labour charges during the Covid period but now the cost of spare parts have been increased a little bit.
This is the widest service network offered by any carmaker, he said, out of total touch points, 326 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh .
Currently, there are 335 Service on Wheels (SoW) workshops spread across various towns and cities in the country that offer customers the option of availing service at their doorstep. It is equipped with all tools and technologies to undertake service, repairs and other related jobs for all Maruti Suzuki passenger vehicles, Banerjee said.
“Our ultimate aim is to ensure that a customer shouldn’t travel more than 10-15 km in urban areas, and not more than 25 km in rural areas, for car servicing needs,” he said.
We are providing service to 60,000 vehicles per day across service centers in the country and in last year, it activated 310 service touch points and this year, we will activate 350 service touch points, he added.

In FY 2022-23, Maruti Suzuki activated 310 service touchpoints which is the highest-ever in a financial year and many of these service touchpoints were added in the non-urban markets to serve customers even in the upcountry locations, according to a release.
The Company introduced the Maruti Suzuki Sales & Service Point (MSSSP) initiative for rural markets. In urban areas, small workshops offering dry wash services in commercial locations were established to help customers, the release added.
