Maruti launches Alto 800 facelift for Rs 2,49,000

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) Car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki today launched its updated version of Alto 800 with a starting price of Rs 2.49 lakh. The new Alto 800 comes with new exterior styling, more space inside the cabin and is available in six variant colours in its latest avatar,along with two new colour options- Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue, the company said in a statement. Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 facelift is available in both petrol and CNG version.The vehicle's CNG variant is available at Rs 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 'The new Alto 800 is technologically advanced with latest convenience and class leading safety features.The new stylish looks,fresh classy interiors and addition of two new colours make it trendy and vibrant,' said R S Kalsi,Executive Director ans Sales,Maruti Suzuki. The car continues to be powered with 796cc, three-cylinder, petrol engine tuned to produce 47bhp at 6000 rpm and 69Nm of torque 3500rpm as the old one. The 5-speed manual transmission also stays. The new Alto 800 is its fuel efficiency which now stands at 24.7 Km/l for petrol, around 9 per cent improvement over the earlier version while the CNG mode the Alto 800 offers a mileage of 33.44 Km/Kg an improvement of around 10 per cent over the previous version, the company added. The bumper has been redesigned to look a tad more ‘sporty’ and so has been the grille. It also increases the exterior length of the vehicle by 35 mm. On the safety front, the Alto 800 facelift will continue offering a driver airbag on all variants as an optional extra. UNI RN ASH 1549
