Marthawada region reported 569 new COVID cases in past 24 hrs

Aurangabad, Oct 23 (UNI) Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported at least 569 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in all the eight districts combined, authorities said on Friday.The districts also witnessed 16 more Corona-related deaths during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed was the worst affected with 128 fresh cases and 4 fatalities, followed by Aurangabad with 102 new cases and 4 deaths, Nanded 93 cases and 3 deaths, Latur 80 cases and 3 deaths,Jalna with 73 cases with 1 death, Parbhani 24 new cases and 1 death, Osmanabad 60 cases and one death and Hingoli 9 cases.
Meanwhile, 7,539 more corona cases and 198 deaths were reported across the state during the same period.
With this, the state tally mounted to 16.25 lakh, of them 14.31 lakh were cured and 42,831were succumbed so far.
While at present, 1.50 lakh patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centers.
